Funding for phase 2 has been secured!
30 Jun 2026 We are grateful that we can now confirm there are sufficient funds in the project account to complete Phase 2: the dining hall, kitchen and print shop. When construction work began in January 2025, it was decided not to outsource the work to a contractor, but for the EGCT and the members of our church to act as the project managers themselves. It is now clear that this has saved us a great deal of money!!
During the construction of Phase 1, the foundations for Phase 2 were also laid. This meant that work on the walls could begin almost immediately when we started Phase 2 in March this year. In May, the concrete roof was poured and, by now, almost the entire new section has been plastered. To complete the construction, we are still awaiting a number of major quotations and invoices, including for all the windows and doors, the tiles and all the sanitary fittings. However, based on our experience from Phase 1, we estimate that there is now sufficient funding for this. We expect the construction of Phase 2 to be fully completed around October.
Over the coming months, the focus will now shift from the construction work to the purchase of the printer and printing press, and to everything else involved in the effective running of the conference hall, printing press and Bible school. Your prayers for much wisdom are much appreciated!
