Meer dan een gebouw

Het is makkelijk om de voortgang van de bouw te omschrijven...maar belangrijker dan het gebouw zelf is de manier waarop we het gebouw hopen te gaan gebruiken! Lees hieronder een samenvatting over Tyrannus die we recent schreven voor UFM:

We are deeply grateful for how God has led our church, l’Église de la Grâce en Christ du Togo in West Africa, to begin the construction of the Institut Biblique Tyrannus, a multipurpose building that will contain four ministries:

Thanks to generous donations, we are currently building the Tyrannus Conference Hall. This hall will not only be a blessing to the wider Christian community but will also enable us to actively promote a culture of reading in the Togolese church, as we can host events such as book launches organised around books printed onsite.

We are currently fundraising for the construction of the building and the purchase of a Print-On-Demand printer for Tyrannus Press. Just as Gutenberg’s printing press ignited the Reformation, POD printing presses have the potential to address the critical theological famine in West Africa. There is an urgent need for affordable, locally printed Christian books and resources.

The second floor of the Tyrannus Building will house the Tyrannus Bible Institute, where sound theology will be taught to equip pastors to accurately teach and lead their churches. The institute will also feature a well-equipped theological library.

Please pray with us that God will use the Tyrannus Institute in Atakpamé in a similar way He used the School of Tyrannus in Ephesus (Acts 19:9–10), and that many will come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ!

Net zoals de drukpers van Gutenberg de Reformatie in gang zette, hebben POD-drukpersen het potentieel om de theologische hongersnood in West-Afrika te bestrijden. Er is dringend behoefte aan betaalbare, lokaal gedrukte christelijke boeken en bronnen.

Op de tweede verdieping van het Tyrannus-gebouw komt het Tyrannus Bijbelinstituut, waar Bijbel getrouwe theologie wordt onderwezen zodat voorgangers worden toegerust om hun kerken goed te onderwijzen en te leiden. Het instituut zal ook een goed uitgeruste theologische bibliotheek hebben.

We vragen uw gebed dat de Heere het Tyrannus Instituut in Atakpamé op dezelfde manier zal gebruiken als destijds de School van Tyrannus in Efeze (Handelingen 19:9-10) en dat veel Togolezen er in aanraking mogen komen met het Evangelie van vrije genade.
