The Tyrannus Print-on-Demand printing press

We are currently fundraising for the 'On-Demand Printing Press'. In this short piece, we want to give more information about this printing press and the organisation behind the distribution of these “micro-POD printers”.

We certainly experienced it as God's guidance that exactly at the time when the elders and the architect were thinking together about the building plans for the new Institute, we heard through a missionary from Niger about the possibility of locally printing Christian books inexpensively. There is no doubt that there is a great need for good, affordable Christian books in Togo! Therefore, we immediately decided to include a space for this printing shop in the building plans.

The missionary put us in touch with Publish4All, a US-based organisation that ships and installs these special POD-printers in Africa. You can find out more about the purpose and impact of their systems on their website.

The Publish4All website highlights that the Reformation was largely made possible by the invention of the printing press. We pray that the African continent will also be blessed, when Christians here will finally get real access to the printed word. May many Togolese Christians discover the richness of church history and grow in their faith as a result! We also pray that local Christians will start writing good books in local languages and that pastors will combat all errors within African churches, allowing the Gospel to shine in all its glory!
