Right now, a lot of hard work is being done on the roof (which will be a thick concrete slab)! The carpenters are placing all the boards with their supports; the ironworkers are then placing all their materials for the reinforced concrete and the masons will place the fabricated special “roof bricks” between them. Next, the carpenters will hammer an elevation around the overall roof. It is expected that by the end of next week, the roof can then be “poured”. This is a huge operation for which 2 concrete mixers will be hired. With, expectedly 60 staff, the roof will be poured, all within one day, with a mixture of cement, sand and stones. A group of women who will do the cooking to provide two meals for the builders on that day. We ask your prayers for this day: it is rainy season. An “ordinary” rain will not be a problem but an unexpected tropical downpour would be!
