We look forward to the time when the Tyrannus building will be fully utilised for the purpose for which it was built: a place where the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ will be shared in many ways:

1) The Institute: Bible school classes are now underway, with around ten students attending lessons three evenings a week. As well as attending lessons, they are set homework and carry out assignments in the churches, such as leading Sunday school classes or Bible studies. We pray that the Institute may grow and that, in the coming years, more students from other denominational backgrounds will join us.

2) Children’s Ministry: We are grateful that we were able to organise a three-day children’s club last summer. We hope to start a weekly children’s club soon. We have a large collection of second-hand children’s books and hope to organise these once the temporary library is ready, so that we can also welcome children every week to come and read. 

3) The Conference Hall: At present, the Institute is not yet officially registered as a foundation with the Togolese government. For this reason, we are not yet able to actively advertise that we have a hall available for hire and/or publish prices. Once this has been done, we hope to bring Tyrannus’s facilities to the attention of the Christian community in Togo, for example by attending Christian conferences with a Tyrannus stand. In addition to letting out the venue, Tyrannus also hopes to organise its own conferences.

4) The printing press: The order for the entire book printing system has now been placed with  Publish4All. If we are able to pay the outstanding amount around December this year, the system is expected to be delivered around July/August. We pray that we will be able to place a great many good Christian books into the hands of pastors, students, as well as other church members, women and children!

Revenue from venue hire, book sales and student enrolment fees will remain very limited in the coming years. In order to successfully launch all the activities mentioned above, to promote the Tyrannus Institute and to ensure it can function effectively right from the start, the Tyrannus Institute will urgently need monthly support during the approximately three-year start-up period!  Who would like to support the Institute with a small monthly donation for a period of around three years?
