Now that the foundation is visible, and you can literally see how big the conference hall will be .... something also suddenly became very clear: the hall will be smaller than imagined. If the EGCT will have to hold its annual conference in this hall next summer, it will not fit.

And so great discussions took place. All members of the Institute's Board of Governors came to the building site and together they considered what could be done. Telephone talks with the architect also followed.

In the end, the following was decided. The conference hall could be extended three metres to the left. The adjacent empty plot of land was bought by Alexandre and Wijneke and they can donate a piece of their land to the institute so that this change becomes possible. Some toilets can also be moved outside the main building. All in all, it is expected that around 125 extra seats can be created as a result. Also, according to the architect, who initially did not react enthusiastically now that he has to go back to the drawing board, these are changes that are well worth making.
